Serial Number Decoding

Serial Number Decoding enables dealers to instantly populate unit details from a single scan or entry.

When adding a new or used golf car to inventory, or when adding a unit to a repair order, dealers simply enter the Yamaha Golf Car serial number. Lightspeed automatically retrieves the Manufacturer, Year, Make, Model Name, Model, and MSRP on demand, pulling current data directly from Yamaha via a secure API.

Serial Number Decoding eliminates the need for manual data entry and the errors that come with it. Because the information is retrieved in real time directly from Yamaha, dealers can be confident they are always working with the most accurate and up-to-date model information and pricing without a single extra step.

Yamaha Service Bulletin Recall Notification

After entering a valid serial number in a service repair order, you can receive bulletin notifications for the following:

• Available Bulletins – The Bulletin button will become active when bulletins are available, and you can see which bulletins have been completed or are unapplied.
• Safety Bulletins – The bulletin button will flash yellow if there is an unapplied safety bulletin
• Stop Sale Warning – If there is an unapplied safety bulletin, a warning is posted when a unit is added to a deal or a deal is being finalized. This is a warning and will not stop the process.

Yamaha Golf Car Parts Price Book

Parts Price Book gives dealers instant access to Yamaha’s full parts and accessories catalog directly within their DMS. Whether selling parts over the counter or adding them to a repair order, service advisors and parts staff can quickly look up items, confirm current pricing, and complete transactions without ever leaving Lightspeed. The result is a faster, more accurate parts experience for staff and customers alike.

Parts Warehouse Availability

Complementing the Parts Price Book, Lightspeed’s Yamaha Golf Car Warehouse Availability feature allows dealers to check Yamaha parts availability with a single click directly within Lightspeed. No separate logins, no phone calls, no guesswork. Dealers can instantly see whether Yamaha has the parts they need in the warehouse before committing to a repair timeline or customer promise date, creating a smoother service experience from start to finish.
